To Bleed or not to Bleed...
#1
Have a slight brake problem on a 97 Trail Blazer...
My rear pedal works a bit if pressed to the floor. The front and rear work fine with the hand brake. The real issue is that the hand brake has no travel at all it's as hard as a rock. Your almost unable to flip the catch to keep the brakes locked.
I have been reading the brake threads here and it's seems that the main theme is to bleed bleed bleed the brakes. Before I do that, is there a way to while bleeding them allow some more play in that hand brake.

Welcome to the forums Cronk.
The brake handle is the same way on my wifes 03 Blazer. Don't know if there's a way to fix that short of tearing into the master cylinder. So I just deal with it. She doesn't notice it because she's used to it. I'm used to having a clutch on that side so it feels very tight to me.
The bleeding you hear about refers mostly to the rear brake not working. Some models (like hers) it seems you have to do it quite often. My old Trail Boss needed it once.
