FYI, I just had a welder reinforce my NEW mount. (old one was bent-up too much-couldn't be saved)

I printed your pics and he liked your design. I will try it Saturday in our next snow storm. 5"-10" is expected so I will have a chance to see how it does. I really hope the re-inforcing does the trick because I really like the ease of mounting/dismounting the plow. It literally can't get any easier to put it on...or off!!LOL!

I replaced the front bumper assembly yesterday. The old one was bent up from plowing (but not as bad as I expected). Dealer gave it to me for cost and let me put it on in his heated shop.

I had added a couple pounds of air to the tires because they looked like they were flattening under the weight of the plow. This is what caused the trailing edge of my plow to loose contact with the ground.

I measured the distance to the center of my wheels with 7 psi and with 4 psi. There is about a 1" difference.

I was trying to find the pics of the proper welding to fix the bending junk mounting plates for the Glacier 2 and thank-God for a good filing system and printer!

Click on the above pics to see how I had my new plate re-inforced.

You may wish to do yours........

Wow, I have a Galcier 2 with 60" blade that I hadn't had the opportunity to use. When
I look at your pics I see that our plate mounts are the same minus your re-inforced weld
improvements. Are we now saying that you and I have the new one that is weaker than
its great former reputable product? If so I am concerned! Any pointers before I install the
skid plate mount on my 08' SP800 for this winter?

Regards,

R'

tcihla79 designed this welding re-inforcement and I printed-off his pictures and had a local welder duplicate it on mine after my first mounting plate bent beyond repair. This winter for me will prove if the fix works or not. I think it will.

Yes, the Glacier 1 plow was much stronger, I owned one. But I sure do like the easy of mounting the G2! The blade is on and off and back on in a second!
