On this note, I occassionally exp. hand fatigue syndrome (I think?),
numbness starts setting in and I have to take my throttle hand off
completley and shake out my hand, flex it, and let it down for a min
or two. I tried different gloves for shock absorption and most recently
the Mad Dog anti-vibe grips, I really like them ALOT!
But does anyone having these similar issues benefit from these thumb
extenders as well? My thinking is the ease and tension may be less too?
And having my new 800 HO, she kicks like a mule at least compared to
my former SP450. The throttle is "real sensitive", in a straight away its
great to really put down the punch but for close trail riding between trees
and small dips, it can be dangereous. I may need some adjusting!
Please advise!

Yes she does have a small hand. On an all day ride mine starts to get tired also, don't matter if you are using tip, first joint or palm. The palm does not give very good control. The throttle extender just makes it easier, more positions to choose from. We ride twisty bumpy trails mostly.

I also read somewhere some time ago
but can't remember that these thumb throttle
extension devices can also add a whole other
level of safety issues. With a device being
attached and positioning different possible
concerns are catching the thumb throttle
that could lead to unintentional acceleratiion
wheelies, flip overs, etc.
Anyone know of any issues or real cases
whereby this is true? My thoughts are
just use good ole common sense but
thats why they call them "accidents" I reckon?

When I say "adjustable" there is an insert (metal or nylon depending on brand) covered with rubber that you can bend to shape it. Moose, thumb buddy, thumb assist, mad dog are some different brands. Cabelas, Dennis kirk are 2 places that I know about that most likely do business up Canuk way. Can also do a goggle search and go from there. We have the Moose from dennis kirk since had a gift cert.
