Hope this baby is as good as my Hawkeye. I'll enjoy the extra power for the tracks.

So Mongrol, did you trade your Hawkeye? Is the frame larger on those? I looked briefly at them, but did not directly compare them to a Hawkeye.

Kept the Hawkeye, to good a bike to trade. The new one is the same as the hawkeye in almost every respect. Difference is larger tires and engine in the HO but I checked part #'s on both and pretty well identical.

Wow, sounds great. I almost bought the wife a Hawkeye when I bought a quad. I did not, so we got an X2. If we would have gotten the Hawkeye, we probably would have gotten a 500sp. I thought I would have liked the hawkeye as well. I also have a son who is just finishing college and so we could have used two. Keep us up on how you like it as well as the plus and minuses of it.

Will do that, but let me caution you about the original Hawkeye and new Sportman 300. They are not a machine that likes jumping or beating it to the ground. It is a fantastic go somewhere machine, but its not "young male proof". I've got about 1,000 miles on it and not a problem or warranty claim.

Well I would not let my son ride it like it was his. He would have to buy his own to do that. Thanks for that heads up. I would like to have a doo Gtx too. We looked at those this summer before we went on our houseboat vacation trip.

Thanks! Got the red one, but am going to exchange the body panels with the black ones on the Hawkeye (avatar). Don't think it will be to difficult.
