Default question for people with tracks

Hey all, i havent been on in a long while, but i have a few questions, and i hope you all can answer them.

I have a 500 efi sportsman and i want to put tracks on it. Anyone recomend a specific brand?

is the 500 going to have enough power to turn em efficently and not lack tomuch going up hill? If so, what could i do for some more power out of the ole girl?

Thanks

luke

The best bet for you would be the Tatou 4S. One model better than I have and they are awesome. 4S means 4 season. Expect to loose about 1/3 top speed but pick it up in climbing or pulling power. The Tatou system is particullary good for Polaris as they use a system that locks the AWD into a true full time 4 Track drive when the AWD switch is on. They use 1 more tooth on the front drive sprocket than the rear and this makes the sensor think the rear tracks are spinning and locks the AWD.\\

The 500EFI should work good. I have 300 CC and still flat out 29 mph (52 on tires). Remember it'll go more places than a sled but slower.

The fun factor is out of sight. Visit www.atvtracks.net

Have fun!!

I have put polaris tracks (Prospector I) on both an 800 and a 500 EFI sportsman. Both had plenty of power, but the 800 just played with them more. 800 topped out at about 40 mph. 500 at 35 mph. This is what I remember as it was two winters ago.

Got them in Spokane Wa. Talk to Gary at

www.atvtracks.net

and go with his recomendation. Easy to deal with. I have E-Tatou original but most of the tracks seem to do a good job. If you drive to spoke you saw a ton in shipping or have them shipped to someone in the US that will accept delivery for you. No duty as they are made in Canada so only pay the tax man.
