Does this sound right?

Clean fluid is always better than dirty, whether its motor oil or brake fluid. Guys are very quick to take care of the engine, but not other systems like brakes. Best to just go by the maintenance schedule for fluids. I've never bled the brakes on my ATV (they're not due for it), but there is something called the MIGHTY VAC that makes it easier and quicker for one person to do.
Best to avoid the dealer for all but warranty work or work that you cannot do properly on your own. Two main reasons: sky-high labor charges, poor quality work. Doing it yourself you know exactly what was done and that it was done right.
Don't be afraid to tackle the routine tasks, just ask here if you need any help.

Sheep, very good points, that is exactly why I try to do all my labor myself, to a tee. The dealer told me that their regular unit that they normally bled brakes with would not work for the clutch on that V65 magna. They had to find and buy a super high compression one. I was gonna go buy one to complete that job, except I did not know which one would work for that.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Axle fluid, front and rear gearboxes, trany and motor oil $220 + tx </end quote></div>
LOL The 4 main fluid changes for $220+! How does brake fluid get dirty? Our 97 Sportsman has the same brake fluid in it that it had on the show room floor.
Rear diff, 75w or 80w gear oil
Oil Amsoil 0w40 with a fram cph66o7
Front diff or Hubs Poaris stuff
Tranny, Synthetic chain case oil.

Heh heh.. I know, i know.
Anyway, I will take everyones advice here and do all maintenance I can without involving the dealer.
I have this funny feeling I am going to get my ATV back with no brakes. Had brakes when i dropped it off..... whatever. I shouldve been either be a mechanic or Amish.
