oil lines
#1
I have a 2000 trail boss 325. I was wondering about the oil lines. Ive heard from numerious sources that the factory rubber lines are prone to failure. Would any automotive oil/gas line do for a replacment option or should I look elsewhere.

The factory oil lines on the 2000 trail boss were junk. You don't have to change them yourself though. Polaris issued a service bulletin (ATV 003) back in October that replaces the oil lines for free. The new oil lines replace the ones coming from the oil filter to the oil cooler. Call your dealer and tell them you want the oil lines replaced under the service bulletin. If they are like my dealer, they may play stupid. Tell them the service bulletin number and you will get them replaced for free. I got mine replaced in early December.

I had the warrenty work done on my 325 mag just this last week for no charge. I was very impressed with what they put on. All the lines look like hydralic hoses with threaded ends. They also changed the splitter vavle for the oil cooler.
