the only thing i have found out so far about predators is you are better off getting an 04 than an 03.... something about the tranny....

well I've rode a few 400s and I own an 03 Predator. Gotta say go with the Predator. It is a little bit longer than the ex and that makes it great for hillclimbing. The 400 seems like you can throw it around a little easier given the larger size of the Predator but believe me after a day or two you won't even notice. I have heard of tranny problems but I haven't had a single problem with mine, just do the regular maint. For what its worth my buddy raced in an obstacle course one year at our little country fair and he rode my bike and another guys bike (400) cause his was down and he did better on mine. In my opinion all bikes have their pros and cons you just got to find the right one for you. No matter what you get I'm sure you'll love it.

I love love love the kawi kfx400. My buddy has a 06 that Ive been riding alot latley and I love it. It doesnt have crazy amounts of power and the predator is definatly faster but I love every thing about this wheeler. Dont get me wrong it has good power and is quick but not a racing machine. The suspension is great, easy to wheelie, and I can easily cary the front end over ruts and dips. An amazing all around trail quad. Id love to have one of my own and I definatly like this even more than the predator.
