Default Winch Size?

I don't know anything about winches but I just bought a Venom 2000lb winch for my 03 Sportsman 400 and the contactor was defective.Venom Winches had me a new one in my mailbox in 4 days at no cost to me.The whole kit costs $131.00 shipped to my door.I think for the money and customer service they are a great buy.

What about overpowering the battery with the larger XT30 winch. Anyone have this problem with a larger winch???

as far as power goes on the winch draw i think there around the same. but you have to remember that your drawing straight off the battery and atv charging systems dont put out alot of juice to recharge it quickly. there for if you use the winch alot it will wear down battery if you dont use the wheeler alot of time.
personally i love my xtr tires. coolhands if you get a winch for your 800, make it a 3.0 size. heavy bike when your mired in mud. just a suggestion.

When you are up to your cahonies in sticky mud and you come to find if you would have spent $100.00 more to get out. HHHMMM
With that said, I have a superwinch 1500 on the front of a 6x6. All it will ever do is lift the 5 foot plow. and don't forget doubling your power with a pulley. Doc
