only one wheel is suppose to spin that way so it doesnt tear up the ground but eventually will kick all both wheels in for traction. its made so when you take corners it acts like a limited slip rear end only powering one wheel so it will turn with less restinace so it doesnt tear up the ground w/ a locked rearend.

I thought that was what the turf mode slection was for then the 4X2 selection would make both tires active all the time
the 3 selections are turf, 2x4, 4x4 i thought
turf - only 1 rear tire would spin
2x4 - the 2 rear tires are spinning all the time
4x4 - all 4 tires are spinning all the time
the reason i asked it i was on ice and started slipping so changed from turf to 2x4 and noticed that the right wheel was the only one spinning. then when i switched to 4x4 all 4 started spinning

unless it was still inthe switching mode between the 2 selections. try putting it in 2x4(non turf mode) and then back up a little then go forward and see if both wheels should be spinning., if not im guesing there is an issue w/ the switching ability. maybe some one w/ this feature will chime in for better reasons.

Don't ever switch from turf to 2wd if you are spinning 1 rear tire this will break the pin inside! Stop spinning and then switch 2wd on. If you read the owners manual you should never ride around in turf, the diff isn't built like an auto and won't hold up to continued turf use, 2wd is recomended.

now is this like a slip diff. or will both wheels start spinning when one has spun enough or does it stay in the 1 wheel moed until its switched i wonder?</end quote></div>
1 wheel spins till you engage a clutch dog, electric solonoid activated. Very important to be turning the same speed or stopped when engaging.
