01 scrammy

Default 01 scrammy

i have an 01 scrambler and was thiking about a clutch kit but dont know what to get any help would be great, also do they make case savers for the scrambler if not any suggestions on what to do to provent the chain from slapping the tranny if and when it brakes? this happened on my 250x before i relized it did not have one. thanks in advance for any help

You need to tell us if you have a 500 or 400 to give clutching advice.
The best protection from a broken chain is to add a chain tensenor and keep your chain adjusted.

HPD makes a case saver. I has to be welded to the case.

They also make a chain tensioner that helps preventing chain breakage. Here is a link to HPD.

OK now that I know you have a 500 for clutching go with a Dalton black/white primary spring,10RH weights,HPD violet or Aaen blue secondary set at 2-2. then you will ROCK

Where is the best place to find this stuff? What should I expect to spend? I can find EPI clutch kits on ebay but I wonder if they are really worth it....

I have a 500H.O. 2x4 and do alot of fast trail ridding with some dune trips occasionally.

What set up works the best?

I have used the search button but haven't been able to find solid feedback..

I almost forgot to mention...most of my riding is in the 3000'-8000' range with trips up to 8000' pretty few and far between....
