Default air presure in stock tires

im just curious as to what air presure you guys are running on the stock tires.
I put a gauge on them and it diddn't move the gauge... The gauge works, so is there just VERY little air in there, or do i need to put more in??

thanks,
erick

Did you use the LOW pressure guage? ....My came with the tool kit!!!...I run stock 5 P.S.I. in my two SP 450's..........Seem to work well for our trails around here!!!......Caper..........

Don't want them too hard to make a stiff ride ....but also don't want too little ..for "ROLL" in the sharp turns!!!

I run 5 psi in all my tires, year round. Never felt the need to air down or up. And as Caper said, make sure you're using a low pressure gauge.

i would have never though we ran as low as 5 psi... i'm used to jeeps that air down to 13psi.... so this is a change for me...

i'll have to get one of those then, or check my tool kit?....
thank you both for the help

over the winter when plowing i air my tires down to almost nothing (does not read on low pressure gauge) other than that i run between 3-5 lbs.. just like you do on your jeep, it changes with the terrain

Exactly, and some tires radial tires will still give a pretty decent ride over rough terrain vs some 4 and six ply bias type tires that will require you to soften them up over rocky hard, or frozen terrain. Then you can drop the pressure a pound or two even to help with the ride and chop. Something that should be checked before every ride religiously.

4 to5 lbs on bad trails and 7 psi on hard pack trails for better mpg w/ less rolling restiance.

Check em regularly, and its most important when you change from winter to summer air. This is a good time to grease the muffler bearings also.
