I'm using Rotella 5W40 synth in mine but 15W40 should also be fine.......I'd venture to say just about any oil would be fine since it's just gears and chains. I'd think ATF would work also. Car standard trans for the most part are using ATF in them. I use ATF in my 2 stroke MX bike trans........works great.
