Default AAEN Performance Pipe for 2007 Stealth 800

Well, got the AAEN performance pipe for Christmas but have not installed it as of yet. Debating whether or not to do it myself or to have my dealer do it. Any thoughts? How about changing out the clutch spring to something more aggressive? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You should do it yourself, its a pretty straighforward job IMO.

As far as the clutch, have you looked into the Heel Clicker weights? They have been redesigned for the 800......if I do anything to my clutch this will be it.

No header, just the slip on muffler. Mine is a single exhaust so it just goes on the existing header pipe.

Have to say that it sure looks cool in the bag. The sound is supposed to be pretty decent too. I'll keep you guys posted.

A slip on muffler can be install with simple hand tools, don't your money to pay the dealer to do it.

Just the muffler makes it even easier........two springs and two bolts, thats it. You might need a spring puller though, have one of those? If you would still like the dealer to do it, don't pay for more than 1/2 hour (30 min) labor.

You dont need a spring puller....use a piece of wire and hook it on the springs and pull. takes under 10 minutes to pull a muffler of a sportsman.

Well, kicked my season off with several hundred miles up in Hurley, Wisconsin over the weekend. Had a blast. The pipe is everything Aaen says it would be and more. My hole shot is awesome and probably gained a little bit at the top but didn't get to run full throttle very much. The pipe is LOUD but it sure sounds great. Had to watch myself in town so I didn't get to speak to officer friendly about it. Out in the mud pits didn't have to worry so I could let her rip and she did.

Anyway, great product, easy to install but loud. Gonna get the Aaen spring and clutch weights to complete the setup.
