Polaris Discussions about Polaris ATVs.

Went riding with a Scrambler 500 4x today...all I can say is that is one bad dude.

My cousin has a SP500 and I a 335. A friend of ours came over with his SC500 and he let me ride it. That thing is killer. I punched the throttle and immediately had to let off because it was coming back on me! I rode it down the trails and stuff and it has a nice ride and everythng. I think it's one of the best sport type machines I've seen.

That is the truth, I love my Scrambler 500 4x4. Just got new Bearclaws all the way around, rest is stock and it RIPS!!

Did your cousin have the cluch redone? Stock won't wheelie much?

UncleBuck
I think the wheelying ability has something to do with the factory set up of the clutch some will wheely out of the box and some won`t. Fortunately mine does and I`ve riden friends 99 & 00 which couldn`t wheely as easily as mine.

He didn't have any clutch modifications at all. He has busted his rear-end and had it replaced (under warranty)though. He rides very rough.
But I still think it is very, very fun. I wish I could afford one

Zorro, Why do I have a feeling that question was pointed at me?!?!

Stock, it lacked low end power compared to my Xplorer...fealt light too. (yes I said light!)I loved my stock Scrambler for about one month until I got the EPI kit, V-ForceII reed valves and a couple other things installed. Loved it even more. Replaced the EPI with the pipe, air box mod and clutch kit. Loved it even more. Roller clutch, suspension, tires...you get the picture Zorro! It no longer compares to stock.

The 500 is a great machine. Low end, midrange and top end power plus all the luxuries Polaris offers!

so was the clutch kit worth the $?? i have a 99 and want more power!! and more wheelies. mine will if i lean back and pull. i also just bought i winch but not i thought that the winch plus a fabricated bumper would weight to much and would make the wheelies even harder?? what is your opinion?? thanks
