1998 Trail Boss 250

Started getting the dreaded "click" when trying to start it. Replaced the starter solenoid yesterday, it turned over 3 or 4 times...then just started the "click" thing all over again.

Fresh battery and fresh charge too.

Ideas?

 

hmmm i was going to say dead battery but clearly not the case... Short in the wiring somewhere grounding to frame?

 

the starter might be stuck might be caked up with mud. i had one that was a lil like that once in ahwill a lil spin then it would just jam up and not spin but eh solonoid would still click.
