I love winter..perfect weather to drive and have a beer..nice and slow going and nobody bothers you...just got to watch out for the kids and idiots that think 4wd means 4wd instant stop.
I like to see how far I can get w/ my pickup in 2wd before I get out and lock the hubs...yes no fancy 4x4 push button

70º today, and they say 50% chance of snow tomorrow.
Monday I was putting a windshield wiper on the truck in the snow, Tuesday I was driving a car home from the shop with the windows down.
I swear, the weatherman here must be saying the same thing before he goes on tv. "Here, hold my beer and watch this..."

Yep, it never fails up here in New England. You'd think people would remember how to drive in the slippery stuff. But no... See lots of 4wds in ditches every winter. The only advantage is getting going in the snow and downshifting if you have a manual. One December I cut down a maple tree with a 3' base and when we were bucking it up it started to snow. By the time we hit the road there was 3-4 inches on the highway. We kept it steady and slow as I had the F350 filled with wood and a 5x8 trailer too. I'd get to a speed until I felt the slightest slippage and back off 5 mph. Worked great. Of course a guy goes by in a sport utility with a bunch of his friends aboard. They got passed me, then my buddy (also had a truck full off wood). Just as soon as he passed my buddy the tail end started going out. I got off the gas and my buddy hit his brakes. The suv did about 3 full spins across in front of my buddy's truck before coming to rest in the snowbank on the right.
