Please HELP!! Chain & Wheel problem
#1
Hi all, I just got a 92 polaris 4x4 trail boss. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to tighten the chain. There is way to much slack & it needs to be tightened up. Do I just get a master link and cut it? Or is there a simpler way?
I tried to search for threads on this but came up empty.
Also, is there an adjustment for the front tie rods? My left front tire is toed inward. I dont see any adjustments on it. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

on the back at the swingarm there's 2 bolts loosen them and twist the middle part on the side of the swingarm that the axle goes though.it acts like a cam to tighten up the chain. on the tie rods there's a nut at the back end of the tie rod ends on both sides lossen then (one turns one way the other end turns the other way) after you loosen them turn the tie rod itself to adjust.

Awesome! Thanks for such a quick reply. I looked at the tie rod ends & it looks like they are solid without any threads on them. Is that possible? I have the 350 model, I forgot to mention that before, I don't know if it makes a difference or not.
Thanks again for your help!!

the chain should tighten up with you on the quad. if it's tight before you get on then it will be to tight and might break. Welcome to the forums if you have anymore questions or problems somebody on here will have an answer or suggestion for you
