Allot of you guys saw this site before but what is different now than before is I updated the modification pics to show what the header wrap on the exhaust pipe looks like. It is so amazing how loud an HPD pipe is compaired to a wrapped HPD pipe. I admit it doesn't look as good as before since it's like a tan cloth color but this was such a huge improvement in noise reduction that it's going to stay. I also relocated the PVT inlet to protect from splashing water which can be extended as high as I wish to go w/ adding more tubing, but I dont really go thru deep water so I'll leave it as shown. Also the radiator recovery bottle has been relocated under the rear seat as other sport machines do. The PVT outlet is flexible also so when you want to reach the carb etc you just bend it where you want & bend it back when your done making an adjustment.

Thanks for the compliments. Thanks also for the pointer about rusting out the pipe. I'll keep an eye on it. I forgot to mention I baked on Eastwoods high temp paint prior to wraping it so I'll see if this helps. One thing I noticed is once the pipe is hot, & the wrap gets wet it steams all the water back off. It steams allot. I really only need the wrap for winter riding since winter riding for me is around neighbors so I dont wnat to abuse my welcome. Most of the public places are closed in the winter so maybe I'll remove it if rust is a problem for the rest of the months. Quadbuster, what didn't work?

I tried to post the left hand side pic of your 400 (seeming that it shows the wrap and all the new rerouting of pvt) so that the "masses" here at the connection could see. Thats why I have a link to your pic w/ a code around it in my first post. My code did'nt work in this forum.

Jim where did you get that front brush guard?

 

It's the new DG bumper except that I modified it since I put in allot more holes & slots & removed the DG logo. I personally didn't like the look of the stock one since it looked big & heavy so removing the material removed almost 1 lb from it's weight & looked a little unique.

Where did you mount the radiator overflow bottle (puke tank)? I didn't see it in the photos.
