Ask them how long it would take if YOU were paying. If they say 5-6 weeks, find another dealer!

Once I even offered to get parts for my dealer and let them reimburse me. That let them know politely that they were not doing their job.

You could also take it home and tell them to give you a call when the new ECM comes in.

i beleave i read were alot of dealers are having isssues w/ getting them becaaue of back order. unless its not runable i would keep it at home and use it until part comes in. polaris says to just unhook the neg. battery cable and it will be fine until replaced.

i work at a polaris dealership as the only atv tech, we received 1 ecm last week so do not feel bad, you are in the same boat as about 50,000 other people.

I totally agree! I have been waiting over a month myself and have playing the same game - calling the dealer, they tell me to call Polaris, Polaris tells me to call dealer. I sat on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get an answer..
The only info I was told that when the dealer takes my machine in, they issue a workorder with my VIN and Polaris then sends the part out. The dealer is updated regularly on status for each part... so my dealer is telling me BS when they say they have no idea!! What recourse do we have???

Arbitration?!?!?!!??!?!?? Has anyone checked into what is involved with arbitration. I remember signing the agreement when I purchased mine.

Guys, do like Stendori said, and run it until the part comes in. My 500 is sitting in the garage with the negative cable disconnected. If I want to ride it, I hook it up and ride. I won't take it to the dealer just so it can sit there for who knows how long.

I called my dealer this week and they are OUT of
them, so the pain is being felt everywhere I guess?

I concur, I plan to do some riding this weekend!

Cheers,
