2008 500 HO Front Drive shaft

Just to let everyone know that the problem has occured again.I have hardly rode it all summer but it did not leak.I started it up today and it is weeping again.Maybe the cold might have something to do with it?It has been in the low 20's to 30's at night lately and have not rode it for a awhile until today. My warranty expired on sept. 21 and now it is leaking!!!!! I chose not to get the extended but now I wish I had it.I am not to happy with polaris at this point in time.If I get another machine I might get something else.I just went to go riding for the 1st time in a couple of months and this is what happens!!!VERY Dissapointed in this machine with only 300mi on it.Other than that is seems to be fine.I would hate to have to replace seals throughout the winter.

So far the seal only leaked the one time and no more but we have not had the cold weather lately to.I just replaced the oil and it was dark with a few shavings on the magnet.I measured what came out and it was exactly 8oz and that is what the mechanic put in when he changed the seal about 40hrs ago.I hope there will be no more leaks when the weather changes.I took it out riding yesterday and had lots of fun.i was glad that I did buy a polaris when I was out riding. Thanks for all the help in this forum.

Well the seal kept leaking and I just got it fixed I hope it will last!!I was going to do it my self but the dealer that I had fix it before told me if I bought the parts they would fix it for free!!! The part was 50.00 but the labor was free and they earned a life long customer!I did not even purchase the popo from them and they treat me great. It figures this happed as soon as my warranty ran out in oct and I did not purchase the extended.I am a happy popo man now!
