07 800 sportsman, factory dual's should I remove them to add a AAEN single exhaust. I was on E-Bay tonight and Polaris has released an updated calibration for 05-07 Sportsman 800 that decrease's exhaust gas temp's. I read this on a heat shield kit that was being sold by Breese Lawn and Garden, I hope that it's okay to state something that is being sold, not trying to promote anything, bottom line should I go to single MUFFLER or not any other brand's that may be better?

I have an 07 800 too. I have been watching some threads about the exhaust and I am not quite sold on changing it out. I'm sure the single is better than the stock dual (although not much more power for the expense), it will be louder and it sounds like everyone is having a problem with it interfering with their back bumper. I am done with mods on my 800 and 700, bought the predator to go fast. (Make sure you measure the new pipe to make sure it fits where you want it too.) Hopefully you'll get some good feedback on different pipes.....

Outback, do you know anything more about the updated calibration for the 800? Did you find that information on EBay?

I basically quoted what they posted as there description on what they were selling. I found that info on E-BAY at Breese Lawn And Garden. Go to Ebay Motors click on powersports go to atv parts and accessories and the go to exhaust and you will see it. I am sorry I don't know more but I will be calling my dealer this week.

$50 seems like a good deal for all that heat shielding. I'll have to stop at the dealer on Monday and inquire about that "updated calibration" for the 800s.

I believe they're remapping the computer to make them run richer which makes them run cooler.

Any input on changing factory exhaust? They say I will save about 14 LBS. Is there alot of maintenance involved, repacking etc frequently.

I just put on a Supertrapp IDSX. I wouldn't say theres a lot of maintenance involved. Repacking once a year if that. Just a guess.

Just for your benefit, when I sold my factory duals, I got $300 for them on EBay. Hopefully you'll be able to recoup some of the price of your new exhaust by selling your old ones like I did.

Good luck.
