since im too lazy to check it out yet, i dont suppose they prewired these like the regular sportsmans? i know the batteries hard to get at so is there any other issues. im going to get a winch for the wifes bike but havent got it yet and was cruious.

Stendori, my mechanic and I were looking at that same situation and he didn't think it was prewired, I can't find any contactor mounting location under the right fender as on the full size machines either. He was going the ask the tech who does the winch installs to find out for sure.

yea i dont think it is but havent looked yet either. i get t he winch wednesday i think, so maybe ill install it thur. or this weeken. ill let you know how much a pain it is lol.

no im almost positive that they are not pre-wired.. the dealer installed the winch on my hawkeye and i noticed that there is power and ground wires coming off the battery... i would also NOT recomend installing that 1.5 winch they say is "model" specific.. you might have to shim is back with some washers (might hit the "fangs") on the front but there is plenty of room... that 1.5 just doesnt have enough butt for deep holes...

The 1.5 warn came off the Hawkeye direct to the 400HO/direct bolt on

im getting a 2500 lb winch instead of the little 1.5. i think he had his put on by the dealer. i'll let you guys know and maybe even take pictures to post.
