When I bought my 08 500 Sportsman the sales guy told me I could get a passenger seat for my ATV at PartsUnlimited. My question is..... my son weighs @ 210 and the warning label on the back rack states 180 LB limit. We only have to go @ 1/4 of a mile from the road to our hunting land so I don't really need a high priced item. Is there a little seat I can get for a passenger? I KNOW, all the warning lables & DVD say "NO PASSENGERS" Thanks!

HOLY S#$T THATS A BIG SON,ANYWAYS,THE REASONS FOR THE RATINGS IS THERE IS A CERTAIN RATING FOR WEIGHT ON FRONT RACK (IF YOU HAVE ONE)+REAR RACK (IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE ALSO),IF YOU DONT HAVE BOTH RACKS OVER RATED YOU WILL BE FINE,IWENT OUT WITH MY DRUNKIN BROTHER IN LAW,440LB BODY WEIGHT.GOING ABOUT 45 THREW SNOW DRIFTS,FLYING AT LEAST 6' INTHE AIR,IT ACTUALLY FELT MORE COMFORTABLE THAN JUST I. p.s drunkinboy tinkuled his.

Where can I get that? BTW, my son is 26 years old and played college football.
I'm also thinking about a little seat I could tow behind the ATV. I don't like the idea of having someone sitting on the back rack. Bottom line,,,,,,, we got to get two people out to our hunting location. Turkey season this week in WI.
THANKS!

Hmmmm...Is it worth climbing on the ATV for a 1/4 mile? I would think it would take more effort then walking. LOL!

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it as long as you don't get crazy and throw him of the back, just take it easy for the few times during the turkey season...are you going shotgun or bow...I do the bow and have a month here in Iowa!

Use a seating pad like the ones you can hang off your belt to sit on when hunting. I would also crank up the adjustments on the rear shocks for a little guy like that. (I weigh 350 right now

Yep, park the quad this season and walk. By next season, 210 will be down to 180 and you won't have to worry about the rear rack limit.

Seriously, I have a buddy that has this.
