I have a couple questions, that I'm hoping someone could help me with. Frst off what kind or rear differential fluid do I use? I have it out from changing the CV's and figured I would change the fluid does it take the same as the front diff? When I use the 4wd in reverse I put it in reverse ,switch to 4wd ,then push the override button and the 4wd does not engage. It shows its working on the display but only the rear wheels spin. I move forward and try the whole process again and again , then fianlly it locks in to 4wd in reverse and it works till I put in a forward gear then I have to play with it again when I switch to reverse again one I do this 4 or 5 times and then it works good all day . The 4wd will always engage in forward with no problems .Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks for everyones help

you could try changing the front diff oil to make sure its not dirty. look in the manual to see what it says for oil to use for both. i beleave they are differnt oils. does it lock into awd by it sekf at any times?

 

ive never had it lock into 4wd by itself. When i push the button to 4wd it will lock into 4wd everytime in forward i just have a hard time getting it to lock in while in reverse with the override button pushed, Ive never had it lock into 4wd while the selector has been in the 2wd mode I have to find my manual to see what oil the rear diff takes
