Default Wheel Spacers & Tires?

Just picked up a 2" easy install lift kit. Went on super easy and fast, now to see how well it holds up. Next step, spacers and tires, how wide are your wheel spacers? I want to go wide, can I get by with 2" wheel spacers, what problems will I have with 2" compared to 1" wheel spacers? I want to put AT LEAST 27x10's on front and 27x12's on back, or can I get by with 28's without a-arms and clutch kit? And finally, who has installed clutch kits, how difficult, is it worth the $? Lots of Q's, would appreciate any input. Thanks.

Default Wheel Spacers & Tires?

Hey, im currently doing the same thing, my freind has an 02 sportsman 500 with a 2 inch lift and front wheel spacers of 1.5 I belive. he is running 28-12-12 Mudzillas on the rear and im pretty sure they are 28-8-12on the front he had to cut out his fenders a little bit and every now and then when theres alot of weight on the front they just barely rub. I ran into a problem for mine i accidently bought 28-12-12 for the front and hopping they will fit. I really wanted to get 2 inch wheel spacer but ended up getting 1.5 wheel spacer. I Think it will work... i hope i was of some help

I have 1.5" wheel spacers on my 700x2 with 27x9's up front. I am using the stock wheels from my 800, so I don't think 27x10's would clear due to the offset of the stock wheel. However, if you are using aftermarket wheels, you would have plenty of room for 10's. Just keep in mind that the wider you go up front the harder it is to steer....

I also installed a dalton clutch kit and would highly recommend it to anyone who goes 27" or taller tire. Man, what a difference! Even my dealer couldn't believe it, it will pull the front end up and runs with the 800. Well worth the money!

How difficult was it to install the clutch kit? Special tools required? I've got a little mech. savy. Was the instructions included enough?

I had my local shop do the install. It was only $75 (hourly rate). It is my understanding the tools cost much more and that is why I had them do it as they only need to be done once, I hope! However, while researching this, I did find a video posted on youtube showing the install and it didn't look very difficult at all. In fact, the mechanic who did it said the hardest part is getting to it! LOL! Just like all the new stuff, lots of plastic!
