Searched for "cylinder head tempreture guage" and this was the first.

The cyl head guage measure head tmp, usually around 450 deg. F. It would do the same on the 400 only slightly lower reading.

well, i looked at both of them. can the oil gauge be used as a cylinder head temp?

and what "mm" do i need for the cylinder head temp?

Nope, can't use oil for water. different scales. Look on the mfgs spark plug chart for the millimeter reading for your plug.

If you do run into an overheating problem with the Hawkeye and your weather conditions, Polaris makes an oil cooler for this...although it is a bit spendy! Not sure but I would thing there should be an aftermarket product that could be made to work for less $$$...Snowmobile/motorcycle part maybe????

well, im just 15 and dont have much money to spend, so i want to get the minimum price.

Check to see the make of plug in your machine. Find the mfgs web site and look for spark plug dimensions.
