How do you get the seat off the 08 400 HO??

Put your hand in the middle rear of the seat and pull quickly.

yep, no latch on these puppies. they come off hard too. make sure you have the front lined back up and in the slots and look in the back under seat to see where the big steel nipples slide back inthe rubbers and give it a good push to relatch.

has anyone noticed how much thicker/softer the 400 seat is compared to the Hawkeye seat? May order one for wifeys Hawk if she wants a softer ride

Exactly, easy fix for those who felt that the Hawkeye ride was too stiff!
Personally I liked it just the way it was and actually turned up the 400HO preloads on the front to stiffen it up a bit.
