Default New Primary Spring

I just insatalled a new black and white primary spring that Ritter hooked me up with and it seems that I have to give it more rev to get it moving. Don't get me wrong it gave me a noticeable amount of low end which is what I wanted but I hate the revs. Any suggestions.

Take the good with the bad. That's what happens in CVT trannys when you want more performance. The aftermarket spring is stiffer & requires more rpms to overcome the resistance & thus engage.

You get used to the higher engagment real fast and then you will love it.

now you just need some more performance parts to enjoy the engagement

your getting more low end because the spring is holding the engagement longer to get it more in the power band.

Thanks for the replies! I don't want to do much more being that my son rides with me most of the time and with just that spring change it will stand up pretty easy.

Mail the spring back to me with $5 - I'll send a little lighter one . No big deal .

Much of clutch tuning is personal preference , if you feel the RPM's are higher than you like I can send one a touch lighter , I stock many different ones in an attempt to get customers tuned the way they want .

80% of 500 owners like the black and white spring - so it is a pretty good bet you would be happy - however if you are not I think I can suggest another spring that will not be quite as revy . Let me help you out .

Rick

Thanks Rick, but I like the low end power and am already getting used to the revs. Thanks for the spring. And the fast shipping. I really do like it!
