Default 700 electrical problem

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and am looking for some advice. I have an 04 Sportsman 700 that I recently had to put a new battery in about a month ago. Just the other day I rode it a few miles and the battery indicator started flashing
alerting me that the battery was almost dead.Someone suggested to me that it might me a faulty voltage regulator that drained the new battery.Does anyone know how to test the regulator or has anyone else had this problem.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default 700 electrical problem

If you have a meter with engine running above 2000 should measure over 14 volts @ batt. Stator windings should read .19 ohms between each of the 3 leads. Stator output should read 18vac about at 2000 rpms.
If you pm me you e-mail can send you a pdf about the electrical system from manual with a testing flo chart.
