Default Help, Sportsman 500 HO EFI shifter broke..

Long story short I was doing some hardcore riding and my 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 and i rolled. I wasn't going fast or anything and the entire body is free of any damage same with handlebars ect.

Only problem was a. My winch contoller bent and the metal broke, no biggie just need a new bracket, if anyone knows where I can find one I would appreciate it.

B, and more importantly, the shift handle, well if you follow it to the thing that actually shifts, mine became disconnected. I Have a metal pin type thing holding it in place right now, but i think a peice is missing because its like an L and it slides into one of the three holes and the actual part that changes gear, problem is, theres no way for it to STAY there. My buddy has a 06 sportsman but his is different than mine, he doesnt have an L it's a different connection. If it were threaded I could easily just put a bolt on but as it is i have a very quick fix on it so it will shift.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Im just happy I didn't destroy any of the body or underbody, but luckily it wasn't a bad roll.

Thanks in advance.

GD, if it is like the 300/400HO, which it looks to be, it is a small plastic piece that clips on the shifting rod and snaps in the end hole of the gear box shifting bracket...it is a $2.50 piece from Polaris and most dealers should carry it in stock...

yeah that looks right bro, just to verify, is that the part for the back? Like, the shifting rod goes in to the body of the ATV and towards the rear right wheel. Thats the part I need, it looks like that IS the one, because I have the rod just not the peice that will hold it inot place. Thanks a ton bro!
