The polaris web site doesn't list any for the 2008 Sportman 800.

Who makes them for this model ?

Thanks guys. Those look like stick stoppers. I was hoping to find some 3 sided ones.

I'm supposed to pick up a 2008 sp800 tomorrow. I hope it's a lot faster than the 2005 sp500 I sold to get this one. If it's only a little faster I won't be too happy.

hmm, my observations, owning both a 500 and an 800.

I weigh about 2x what my wife weighs at least. She has a 500X2 and is a speed demon...

Sitting side by Side she can take off across the field, I react and jump on the 800, Me in Low will catch her within 75 feet or so and pass her. We are both above 20 mph at that point. I have either been spinning the rear wheels or working to keep the frontend down. Also at that point I have hit the rev Limiter. Taking off gradually and letting the system work, I catch her in under 100 feet or so and pass her, Hit the REv Limiter at about 30 mph or so.

2nd scenario, same location, Now I am in High Range. Doesn't Break loose as easy but will and Frontend will still try to comeup. I catch her and pass her in under 100 feet and hit about 35 before I shut it down.

Across this portion of my field we are talking around 200 to 250 feet or so from Fence to outbuilding.

Not very scientific but an observation.

Seems you got a problem catching that wife of yours, does she always run off like that? I should talk, my wife was in front of my grandson and I going down a trail. When we finally caught up with her both of us said at the same time "what the heck are you doing! we couldn't keep up" She grinned and took off again

Yea she is a speed demon for sure. Really glad I got her the 500x2 over a 400 though. Gives her a little more stability in the mountains around here..

Everytime she does that she just grins too.

On the actual subject of this post,

My 800 and my 500 came with the Polaris plastic stick guards. Not enough for serious crashing, but at least they are there.
Seemed fairly tough when I had to clip it a bit to fit my Swisher mount.

Thanks for the info.
So if you raced your wife's quad to 50 mph in high gear how many quad lengths ahead would the 800 be?
