I adjusted my throttle cable (slack) and ETC today. BTW I highly recommend that if you have not done this you should. As per the manual it recommended that you check the adjustment on the oil injector. I pulled the 3 screws holding the plate on and about a half cup of water flowed out and onto the ground. The last ride did involve some deep water. I also power spray my quad after most rides. The water was clean. It was kinda gunked up on the bottom of the oil injector interior housing. I cleaned it up best I could and put a trouble light in front of it to dry it best that I could. The rubber gasket looked fine. Has anyone seen this before? Did it cause me any problems that I might not be aware of.

Thanks for any help.
KD

As they say, it happens. In the winter it can cause a frozen throttle.
As far as I know, it shouldn't hurt anything. Dry it out really good & douse it with WD-40 or something similar to keep anything from rusting. Be careful not to spray the injector directly with a power washer. Even if the gasket is good, it is only designed to keep water out when crossing a puddle, not water under pressure.

Good idea on spraying it with WD40. I will take it back apart and do that.

Thanks

Dazed:

Call me blind but I could find no drain hole. I looked and looked (even used a mirror). I went ahead and sprayed WD40 and put it back together. Are you sure there is a hole?

Thanks KD
