Default 2007 800 EFI

I have a 2007 800 EFI with low miles. I have owned Polaris machines before and have never expierenced this issue before and not sure if there is even a problem. When I shift the machine into reverse there is a slight noise as I give it some gas then it feels like it goes right into reverse. Is this common or do I need to get it fixed?

Mine makes a clunk sometimes, like when I shift it from L to R or R to L. Seems like the gears don't mesh sometimes unless you give it some gas to get the driven clutch moving slightly.

I haven't bothered to take it in. If it clunks when I shift it then I know everything is engaged. If it doesn't clunk, I just go very easy on the gas until it does, or rock the ATV back and forth once and that will get it to engage.

Good luck.

I think this is normal on them. I had a 700 that did that.
