So, it looks like it is a code 21. What does that mean?

I had an 07 Sporty 800 that was a lemon. I have a lengthy thread out there from last year on it. Long story short, the dealers didn't really care, Polaris didn't really care and I traded it in with only 450 miles on it. My 07 Stealth 800 has been absolutely bullet proof so I am glad I gave Polaris another chance. Lean hard on your dealer cuz he is the only guy who will listen to you. Polaris was real difficult for me and they wouldn't do anything for me.

So, I just remembered I have a service manual. I looked it up and the code is for loss of synchronization. What does that mean??

Well, I called today to find out if the wheeler was done or not yet. They said that it was done and that they had to replace the evap harness. They also said they cleaned the prefilter, air filter, and replaced the spark plugs cuz it was mis-firing when it was acting up. I hope they don't plan to charge me for any of that, cuz I wont pay for it. As soon as I get the hitch put on my car, I'm gonna go over and get it picked up. Hopefully they got the idle fixed too.

That is strange. "Evap" on an EFI usually refers to Evaporative Emissions. Simply put, the system evacuates fuel tank fumes and burns them. As far as I know the Polaris' do not have evap.

This is a really interesting thread. I did not know the thingie about the codes and the switch/key/3 times/5 seconds part. I really should find some time to RTFM that came with my 08' Stealth Touring and find out about all this stuff.

Anyway, keep us posted about this problem and how it was/will be solved.
Don't pay a dime for this though. This is a bullet proof warranty case.

All the best from the north coast of Iceland,

If everyone would RTFM and do what it says there wouldn't be half as many questions on the forum. Of course a lot of used quads don't have a manual with them, but they are available. There's no good excuse for most people. <u>Make time</u> to read it, just like you make time to ride. Read a page every time you go to the bathroom if that's the only time you have. It worked for me. I finished the manual before my first ride because I'm so full of __it.

Question for IcelandATV. Is it true that Iceland is green, and Greenland is icy?
