Ever since new my ADC has been flawless but I went for a ride today and was going down a gas well road and when it kicked in it felt very rough kinda hard to describe but normally it was very smooth feeling but it's not that way at all. I checked the fluid level and its good and clean. Also checked the diff. oil and it full and looks clean. I just had this serviced on 5/13 and only been on a few short rides and one long rough one about 5 hrs. maybe 20 miles.

 

did your dealer put the right fluids in??

 

ADC fluid has to be bled after changing the fluid, bled by the bleeder valves.

 

I sure hope so! I didnt think to ask. I'll have to check and see if the ADC has any air in it, I was reading about that in the book today that may be it but it seems to be working just feels rough almost like it's holding back even more, stopping you quickly. I wouldnt mind but they way it feels rough is worrying me a little. I'd hate to see the bill for a new front diff.

 

20 miles in 5 hours, that says to me that there was constant on and off throttle at low speeds, which means that ADC was kicking in an out every time you let off and reapplied throttle. Since you have an 07, you dont have a switch to turn it off.

When you said you had it serviced, what did they do? Did they change the front diff fluid? If so, you need to have the LT fluid in it, not the regular Premium Demand Drive fluid. The regular fluid will not stand up to the heat generated by the ADC system. If you did 5 hours worth of riding when the ADC was constantly being activated, if the wrong fluid was in there it could have caused a problem.

You said the fluid was clean, did it have a green tint to it or was it light like honey?
If it was green, it's the wrong fluid.

My other suggestion would be to install a switch so you can turn ADC off except for when you want or need it on. I installed a switch for mine and can help you out with it if you like.

thanks sheep, it was honey colored. I'm gonna run it a little and see if it gets worse, its not doing enough right now to tell whats wrong. I may do the ADC disconnect down the road, I'll let you know if I need some help.
