For registration period starting July 1, the registration fee will be $33 for a resident and $68 for a nonresident, plus the agent fee*.
New registrations only - Beginning May 1st of each year, registrations will be valid from the date of issue through June 30 of the following year.
All ATV registrations expire June 30.
Proof of payment of sales tax required on first time registrations or proof of prior registration (Maine residents only).
Registrations may be obtained from some licensing agents or by mail. Renewal registrations may be submitted online.
Reciprocity - Maine no longer has reciprocity with any state or province.
*Agents may charge a fee of $1 for renewals and $2 for new registrations

I know it isnt the "right" thing to do..but I lived in Maine back in 2005 and 15 years prior to that date. I use one of my old tags and just leave it on my 4wheeler that I ride here in the south.
If I see a warden or a cop..just wave and pass on by...its all good..
