Scott i knew you meant it got to hot on the ( Family Jewels ) between the legs on your post right away , i live in North Ga ( The Carpet Capital Of The World ). 28 miles south of Chatanooga TN ; and we have been in a " Very Severe Drought " here for the last 4 yrs. !

2006 was the worst drought i've seen here in over 30 yrs. , it was so bad that the " Army Corp Of Engineers " had to close Carters Lake in ( Murray and Gilmer Counties ) to boat traffic in march 2006 ; 2007 and this year have been the same in Whithfield Co. !

It would take the water run off of the " The Blizzard Of 93' " for us to catch up to the normal water tables down here , we're in the same boat as you are or worse ; i would love to ride some good Ole muddy swamps or snow but it would take driving a long distance to find any of these riding conditions for me !

Mountain Man between Scott and myself we have enough heat to melt all that snow you're talking about in Yellow Stone , if there were just some way to pipe it there you could have mine ; and i'm sure both Scott and myself would still have more than enough warm temp's to spare in the process !.........

it got up to mid 80s here with almost contant thunderstorms all day! We are working on the third day of heavy rain with a total of almost 9"!
Dust control is NOT a problem here!

This is the craziest year I can remember...record snow fall and now the third highest rain fall on record and more coming every day this week!

That sounds more like the weather I've had for a few days. High 80s, down to 60s at night, lots of thunderstorms, and luckily no tornados nearby. Not really hot enough for chestnuts roasting over open water.

hey Williebee i've been to you neck of the woods before. i used to drive for a living took a couple of loads of carpet down there.last year was the worst i can remember but i've only been living here since '95. they was talking about shutting the nuclear power plant down in Charlotte because of the water level was getting down to the intake lines at Lake Norman and the water was getting to warm to cool the plant. i've got 1 mud hole that stays wet because of a stream nearby. just found a spring thats feeding it now hence the cold water and steamed jewels. i think we where down 17' of rain at the end of last year. have'nt paid much attention to it this year because of the fuel prices.

if i could pipe it to ya i would. 50 degree weather we won't have that again untill November or December if i'm lucky. according to the local news it's supposed to be in the high 90's for a high all week and the low is supposed to be in the low to mid 70's perfect for night rides but that's hard to do during the week.

it's been warm here in West Virginia too. It was showing 99 on back porch in shade after work yesterday. I got the polaris out and rode it for just a few minutes before the fan came on. It does get warm on the twins at times. I'm headed to Canada in 2 weeks to atv ride/bear hunt and fish. Should be a great trip. Ride atvs in the morning and the hunt and fish.

you know it's hot when you "ferget" which side of the state you live on.i had to go back an edit it. i bet those twins do get hot. i never understood why someone would hunt bear on purpose. i try not to hunt something that will eat me if giving the chance. with that said CAN I GO ? i want to go to Alberta and hunt those monster whitetail deer that is . the hottest place i've ever been was Laredo,TX it was 94 at 8AM.
