i have noticed that there alot of post not about POLARIS issues popping up as of late and yes myself included having abused this polaris forum not pretainning to a polaris type question. there for there is a general discussion area inthe forum list that we can and should use for our non polaris questions and comments. this would make it easier for newer memebers to have their questions stay on top on first page to get the best anwsers they need. lets all try to do our part to kep it a polaris forum. myself included, thanks.

I'm most definately guilty. Can you make this a sticky, so it always stays at the top to remind us?

I've often wondered why the Mod(s) aren't locking and moving posts that are not on topic.
I've Modded on a FuseTalk forum with 185520 members so I know it can be done.

DISCLAIMER: If I ever offended anyone in being a
goof ball that I am in my posts or replies my apologies!
If I ever posted a "Non-Polaris" type post or created
a thread (I have), I am sorry too, My bad!

If we may open the floor a little on the topic?

As a supporting member I agree Whole-heartedly
with the reasoning to keep our Forum as polished
as can be considering. But to that I will add there
are general ATV discussions in which I feel it is totally
appropiate to discuss in this FORUM for just a few reasons
among many. Take for example my most recent thread
"Thumb assist products". Some could argue that could
go anywhere but I WOULDN'T WANT IT TO. I would want
my Polaris friends and associates to comment on whether
they have used that product on their POLARIS quads, Pics
and advise from those who have that experience and tested
them out, they may have more information to contribute cuz
quite Frankly they have been in the game longer and have
more riding experience (Polaris to boot) than me and that
would meet my specific applications.

I sum up my point that we need I feel to expand on a little
than "Non-Polaris". If we take that literally, it may become
a little less interesting. IMHO

I do get the point of the thread Stendori, no debate brother,
I know things have really gone off topic with more so lately,
and I am guilty too! I think sometimes the boundries are a
little unclear, most posters only abide by restrictions of
of "What not to do" as far as INAPPROPIATE postings
(I.E. Bad language, solicitations, spamming, harrassing, etc.)
Vs what should guide people with subject discussions under the
Forum umbrellas (Polaris, Yamaha, Honda, etc.) IMHO

So maybe we can expand a little on what we mean by
"non-polaris"? Its kinda hard to express what my point
is in words, you know what I mean?

Regards,

R'

I can see why people would post off topic in this forum rather than the general discussion forum. At least here most of the replys are good and not a bunch of young kids.

I am guilty of this also and I do it because I feel as though us guys in the Polaris forum are like a group of friends and your opinions and advice have been pretty spot on. I feel that I dont have to worry about offending anyone here that we're all big boys and can handle what is said. I also thought everyone here kinda goes with the flow and it doesnt seem like to much has gotten out of hand. Anytime I had any questions they have been answered and not hard to find.

As for throwing things out there in the nuthouse I try to stay out of it It's too nutty!!!!

I know what kind of people I sometimes run into in the general topics. Some Polaris people and other mature members sure, but also a lot of people who think you must be a complete idiot to even consider owning a Polaris. They think it's the worst piece of crap on the planet, and whatever they bought or their dad got them from China or Japan is 100 times better. I don't want the opinion of anyone that biased about any brand including mine. I know there are other good quads and admit it. The opinions of a bunch of snot-nosed kids who've never owned or even rode a Polaris dosen't matter to me. Plus some of them can't put a coherent thought together, and spell so bad you can't understand what they're trying to say even after reading it a few times. When one guy says, I r a deelr, I think, you are a retard, but at least I can understand what they mean. Some posts are so bad you need a CIA cryptoanalyst to decipher them.

On the other hand something like Caper's new theme song is WAY off topic. I KNOW that but never even thought about it at the time. That's why I think the sticky should be called "Off Topic Posts". I need to be reminded constantly because of too much head trauma over the years. If I posted it in the general area 1% of them may know who I was talking about but I realize that was were I should have posted it, if anywhere at all. Not posting it may have been a better idea. Anyone who sees me messing up again, please PM me so I can stop.

Frank
