Hey im looking to buy my first quad, and came across 2 deals? The first is an 04/05 suzuki lt-z400 and the second deal is an 03 polaris predator 500cc. I have heard good things about the suzuki and was just wondering how the predator stands up to it. they are both the same price $2000. Is there any negatives about the predator? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

'03 Predators had trannys that were notchy & didn't like to shift under hard acceleration. Other than that, they are just as good as other pre-KTM Predators.

 

I've heard good things about the Predator. I don't know about any problems because that's not what I ride. I couldn't reccomend for or against either one on actual experience, but I think a 500 trumps a 400.
