looking for a 2nd atv

I'm looking at getting a 2nd atv. I have a 2003 grizzly and have heard good things about the sportsman 500. I'm looking at the 2006 500 or 500 x2. Any suggestion. What should a person pay for one? Thanks for your help.

It varies by where you're at. I had to use my zip code to get the prices at KBB. The retail value is what it's actually worth but you can expect to pay a lot less for one. My insurance just payed me the N.A.D.A. price minus my deductible: 2006 POLARIS SPORTSMAN 500 EFI Average Retail $4,930-$500=$4,430. Get a title and make sure the one you buy wasn't stolen from me.
According to KBB:
2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO Suggested Retail Value $4585
2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI Suggested Retail Value $4915
2006 Polaris Sportsman X2 EFI Suggested Retail Value $5610
And from N.A.D.A.:
2006 POLARIS SPORTSMAN 500 H.O. Average Retail $4,615
2006 POLARIS SPORTSMAN 500 EFI Average Retail $4,930
2006 POLARIS SPORTSMAN X2 Average Retail $5,445

Its all about condition when buying used. Some old guy who has 50 hour on his 2001 SP500 sitting in his garage is a better deal than a 2007 sp with 200 hours to me.
