ram air?

someone needs to make a ram air for sp 500!super air induction!!!!!!!!!!would it help?

In a word....no.Most modern sportbikes have ram-air.They receive no benefit until well over 100 MPH.

why wouldnt it work? motors run better with cool air. it seems if the air was cool instead of dead warm air the motor would run better. of course it wouldnt be like ram air on a superbike but you think it would help?

With the routing of the snorkles on most quads they do breath relatively cool outside air. Not like breathing the air from an engine compartment. I agree that quads don`t quite go fast enough to ram or force the air into the airbox. But...

What if you were to put a small diameter high cfm 12v fan between the air filter and carb to force the air into the cylinder like a small electric super charger. I would think you could get a couple of psi boost. The problem would be finding a fan.

Street driven super chargers & turbos only run 7 to 10 psi for a V8. If you could get 2 to 3 psi it may make a noticable gain in hp.

Yes, No, any thoughts or is it not going to work. Just something I`ve been dreaming about.
