Default Weird Clicking Noise.

I was out rippin' yesturday and after a couple hours, when I slowed down the bike would making a clicking noise. Also does it when parked. Won't make noise when parked and in reverse, but will in neutral.Haven't noticed the noise when parked and in gear, but does it after riding a bit then slow down. Noise is coming from lower part of the bike. Doesn't seem to do it when moving.
Any ideas? I haven't touched the bike yet, will end up checking it out today.

well if it doesnt do it while moving only then it rules out a bad cv. if it does it while engine running and while in neutral then it was be clutch related. maybe worn butons or even some foreign material in the clutch cover. just a thought.

WTF? My hawkeye just started doing the same thing, same symptons. Checked the frame for cracks, nothing!

A sharp metalic snapping or clicking noice. Sometimes will do it if I stand on and rock the quad.

Did it while backing and turning, one snap. Also on terrain where the frame might have a tendency to twist.

Need some input.

Hey Mongrol is one of your sway bars out of its slot. I had my bushing split and I kept hearing a loud metal snap when hitting hard bumps, I couldnt figure it out until I saw the right vertical bar was slanting then saw the split bushing. I had it replaced under warranty and shortly after the other side loosened up and was making the same sound but the bushing wasnt bad on it, just needed put in place and tightened

Thanks, I'll check that. Just before this started, I was getting a rubber squeak so I lubed all the rubbers. Another area for me to look.

Thx.

Well I took off my belt.It was flapping around. Guess it wasne't really a clicking noise. I have 7 teeth missing in the same spot with a couple more cracked and ready to go. Anyone know if they'll just give me a new belt before I phone them or will they just say to bad. The belt has maybe 250 miles on it. Is there a warantee on these things? IF I have to change it every 250 I won't be too happy.
