Okay to replace JUST the back tires on Scrambler 400 4x4?
I never realized how bad the tread was til I got my new 489's for the rear in the mail today. The 3/8" difference in tread from the old fronts to new rears, measured dead center on the tires, leads me to wonder if I will screw something up by keeping the worn down 489's on the front til I can afford new ones?

wouldnt u know that no walmart by me has any tires for 10" rims!! i got them from rockymountainatv and am super impressed with their prices and service. i think they are $57 each....and shipping is free on $100 orders. Or else its only $7 under $100....so I stocked up to take advantage of the free shipping!

The one thing you have to be careful of on the Scrambler is using stock size tires. The fronts are bigger than the backs but the gearing is set up so that they cover the same amount of ground at the same time. (The rear wheels have to go faster than the front). So, it's very important to stay stock size in this case with the 4x4 Scrambler.
