Polaris Scrambler hesitates
#1
I have a 1995 Polaris Scrambler 4 X 4 .. It has HOT SEAT clutch and carb..
I have been running 40:1 ratio of Mobile 1 Racing oil ..
My problem is that is hesitates horribly (bogs down for a few senods ) when I first hit the gas then all of a sudden it comes to life and has all kinds of power ...
I replaced the Fuel line and filter and it still does it ... It makes all kinds of power after about 1/4 throttle and a few seconds ..
What can I do to get rid of my hesitation .... I am losing race after race due to this ...
Thanks

Is your pipe stock or is it HSP?If you have stock pipe you need stock or very close to stock clutching. If you have an aftermarket pipe you need to have the clutching matched to the rpms of the pipe.If you have the pipe and clutch matched the higher take off(engagement) is normal and you have to get used to it.
Why are you mixing Mobil1 oil? You need a good 2stroke oil not 4stroke oil.I personally dont like the synthetic 2stroke oils I like to see it smoke. And why did you disable the oil injection it seldom ever goes wrong.

Yes you can by changing springs and/or weights but you need a tach and the rpm range of the pipe. Are you running a complete HSP clutch kit?If so go back to the stock helex.
