The new style Sportsman is the XP (extreme performance).
Only comes 550 and 850. The rest of Polaris Sportsman are the same as last year. No XP X2 or Touring.

Think of it this way...the new XPs are designed to be Renagade beaters with fenders! Extreme 4x4 performance with not quite as much trail on you...Polaris just isn't going to give up all it's Sportsman utility and ride in the process!

Would you expect a Renagade x2?!
I think not!

I think the ATVs that were in the lineup for 2008 are still available as a 2009. The XPs are totally new. The Touring, X2s and regular Sportsmans remain the same. The 6x6 gets IRS rear axles, the front storage box, and an 800EFI. I'd love to see power steering in the X2. But, then again the upper body workout is good for me...

I agree on this subject. Polaris wants to keep all the basics covered on all these different quads. They have a great selection range in their product line-up.
