i know polaris has there own oil they recommend..what would be the equal motor oil to use . i just bought my wife a 2000 325 magnum and need to change the oil.any ideas??

I have been having very good luck with the Spectro Semi-synthetic in all my quads.

 

Been using Mobil 1 in my 2000 Trial Boss with no problems.

0w40, but it's getting harder to find.

 

I'm a big fan of Amsoil 10w-30 Full Synthetic. It is pretty easy to find, doesn't break the bank and works great.

 

I believe you're only supposed to use 0W-40 full synthetic. Any brand will do but I always use Polaris oil. It might cost a few extra bucks each year but so what? That's a lot cheaper than a new cam or a new engine.

 

I use Amsoil Formula 4-Stroke 0W-40. It has the SG and SH rating that my 800 calls for. Mobile 1 0W-40 is also a good oil. You will have better luck finding that at Auto Zone or Advance Auto or stores like that. They call it European Car Formula but don't worry about that. Also, Shell Rotella T Synthetic 5W-40 is a good oil.
