I HAVE to check prices now before I open my mouth! OEM parts going through the roof. I told a customer that I THOUGHT a coolant resevoir bottle WAS about 25 bucks, but when looked up was almost DOUBLE that!

Belts were $45-50 several years ago when I bought one, so $55-60 sounds about right with today's inflation. Whoever said $35 was way off. Maybe you could time travel back to the 50s and get one that fits for $35 then go back to the future.

If you think that's expensive, buy a belt for a Grizzly. When my Polaris belt was $46.95, my friend's Grizzly belt was about 2-1/2 times more at $145. That was a few years ago so it may be more now.

yes clean the pulleys if they are gritty or dirty. If you don't, you will turn your new $60 belt into a belt sander. If you think the belt is expensive, price those pulleys.

BLOW out clutches first if have air compressor and blow nozzle,do it in a WELL ventilated area, usually lots of dust. Brake cleaner ok afterwards, been using it for years, BEST to take off and clean as cleaner is bad on plastic pieces such as footwells, plus shield rubber front clutch seal with old towel or rag.NOT really necessary to use brake cleaner if you blow it out good!
