thanks for the input guys. yes mine developed a vibration around 4,000 rmps for some reason that would put your arms to sleep. but since it was only the 4th ride of the year(sad but true) i didnt have time to to really get into what the hell was going on. the heat shield has always had a very slight rattle/vibration and i just ignor it lol.

Mine is new with about 35 miles. No noticible rattles that I would consider a problem, minor rattle noticed at lower rpm but didn't pay much attention. To be quite honest, any rattle or driveline noise is barely noticible with the helmet on, thought it would be from what I read before buying it but is a non-issue in my mind.
A little off topic but got to use the winch for the first time on my last ride, got hung up on a fallen tree in a creek bottom, just happened to be a tree on the creek bank to tie the winch around! Saved myself a 1 mile walk across the field. Man I love this thing!! Also went out an bought some goodies yesterday - atv booster cables, air compressor, tire plug kit, and getting a rear rack mount storage box/back rest this weekend. Like any serious addiction.... this is going to get expensive! lol

Mine's got about 100 miles on and no annoying noises so far. Except when I almost flipped it doing wheellies around hay bales in a hay field on automatic 4x4. After I finally gained back control and had the beast back on its 4 tires, I could hear a terrible chatter... which concerned me until I realized it was my knees shaking and banging against the side panels!

Sorry to get your thread off track Stendori. I think your vibe is the same one I have. A little annoying, but like I said I just try to keep it out of that RPM range. If I do run it in that range it is for a short period.

You da man, no other problems since you put the heat wrap on? I saw some at AutoZone the other day and almost picked it up but decided that I better figure out exactly where the heat is coming from first.

No other problems at all. You only need to wrap a a short section. I did from about 2- 3" above the exposed area to 2- 3" below it, 10-12" total. The only thing I suggest is make sure you do n ot store the machine with the wrap wet. it can rust out the header pipe. I always run the engine until the wrap is dry before putting the machine up. Make sure you secure it well, I used the stainless ties they sell for that purpose and some safety wire for extra insurance. I also coated the wrap with the paint they make specifically for header wrap to seal out water. If you coat it asd secure it properly it will last alot longer.
