Glacier II Plow system ??

Well, I would rather have the Glacier I plow because when you look at them both side be side, the mounting system on the Glacier II just dosen't seem to cut it.
The glacier I has a larger mount that is low profile and just seems like it distributes the force evenly to the frame, the Glacier II just didn't look good to me.
Plus you don't ever have to pick up the plow to put it on, you drive into it and it hooks up automatically, and falls off the mount with one finger when you are done plowing.
Just my opinion

I have a original Glacier plow system from 04 and love it. The only problem I have had is on the original scuff pads wore realy fast so I bought upgradead ones and added a bead of weld on the bottom and they have been working great ever since!

I agree with Koerbs, however I have the 4' blade and love it. I can go down the trails with it and fit anywhere my quad will. The 4' blade is plenty sufficient. I live in Michigan and got alot of practice with it last year. I pushed 2' deep snow and am driving a 700EFI. When pushing that much snow you can only angle the 4' blade one click or your machine turns sideways and I'm driving a 700. FYI - don't get crazy and stay in low gear also. The mounting plate on the bottom of the frame also works great for protection from logs and sticks. My advice, Stick with the 4' blade...

I had a 52" Glaicer plow on my 48" wide ATV. Those 2 extra inches of plow on each side is enough to keep me from driving in the snow that rolls off the edges of the blade. I don't see any reason to use a 48" or 60" plow when the 52" works so great. Before that I had a 50" CMP plow that was about 54" with 2 side shields on it. It worked great on my '97 but won't fit on the newer style ATV frames. I'm in the process of making it into a back blade for grooming trails.
P.S. If you throw 2 or 3 60-pound bags of sand on the rear rack you can angle the blade and not get jacked around too bad in the deep snow. It gets a lot better traction with sandbags on it, and the weight helps it go straight too.
